01 Introduction
Welcome to RORBT (“RORBT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of rorbt.com and any related services, content, tools, community features, applications, publications, donation systems, future storefronts, organizing infrastructure, or subscription-supported operations we may eventually provide (collectively, the “Service”).
Please read them carefully.
These Terms exist for three primary reasons:
- to protect the operational integrity of the Service,
- to protect users from abuse, exploitation, fraud, harassment, or surveillance,
- and to establish clear legal boundaries in a world where every website apparently believes it is entitled to function like a privatized intelligence agency wrapped in gradient UI.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
02 The Nature of This Project
RORBT is an independent, mission-driven platform and protocol for decentralized organizing — built to make organizing cheap, surveillance expensive, and co-option structurally impossible, one sovereign orbit at a time.
At present, much of the Service is informational, editorial, experimental, or under active construction. Some features referenced in these Terms may not yet exist operationally. These Terms are intentionally written to account for the future development of the platform, including but not limited to:
- user accounts,
- orbits, assemblies, and other organizing tools,
- encrypted or privacy-focused communications,
- community coordination features,
- recurring donations,
- membership systems,
- subscriptions,
- digital publications,
- merchandise,
- fundraising campaigns,
- mutual aid infrastructure,
- and nonprofit commerce supporting labor, civic, or humanitarian causes.
If and when such systems are implemented, they will be operated under the principles described throughout these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Specifically:
- we will collect as little data as operationally possible,
- we will prioritize user privacy and organizational security—every field of personal information we do hold is encrypted at rest, and system metadata is kept to the minimum required to run the Service,
- we will maintain transparent financial practices to the greatest extent reasonably possible,
- and we will not transform this platform into an advertising surveillance machine because society already has enough of those.
Future fundraising, recurring support systems, or merchandise sales may function operationally as subscriptions or purchases under applicable law even if their practical purpose is supporting organizing, journalism, mutual aid, or related causes.
03 Communications
If you voluntarily subscribe to updates, newsletters, alerts, organizing notices, or similar communications, you consent to receiving those communications.
We do not believe “consent” means pre-checking sixteen hidden boxes while a corporation quietly sells your nervous system to advertisers in the background.
You may unsubscribe at any time.
We do not send marketing spam because nobody deserves that.
04 Purchases, Donations, and Future Commerce
The Service may eventually offer products, publications, donations, memberships, or cause-related merchandise.
If you make a purchase, donation, or recurring contribution, you agree to provide accurate billing and payment information.
Payments may be processed through third-party payment processors because unless somebody recently nationalized Visa while we were asleep, independent platforms unfortunately still require external financial infrastructure to process transactions.
We do not store full payment card information ourselves unless absolutely necessary.
If we eventually sell merchandise or products connected to labor, nonprofit, journalistic, or organizing causes, we intend to maintain transparent margins and clear disclosures regarding where funds are going, what percentage supports operations, and what percentage supports affiliated causes or initiatives.
This is not a luxury streetwear brand disguised as political consciousness. We are not charging $84 for “anti-capitalist” hoodies manufactured through exploitative labor chains overseas.
At least that is the aspiration.
05 Subscriptions and Recurring Contributions
Some future portions of the Service may operate through recurring financial support systems, memberships, or subscription structures.
These recurring payments may support:
- organizing tools and infrastructure,
- journalism,
- investigative reporting,
- hosting infrastructure,
- privacy infrastructure,
- legal defense,
- operational staffing,
- or related mission-aligned work.
If recurring billing is implemented:
- billing terms will be disclosed clearly,
- users will be able to cancel recurring payments,
- and pricing changes will be communicated in advance where legally required.
We are not interested in dark-pattern subscription traps designed by behavioral economists attempting to psychologically weaponize inconvenience.
06 Accounts and Organizing Infrastructure
The Service permits, or may eventually permit, users to create accounts or participate in organizational features—orbits, assemblies, and related tooling—intended to improve collaboration, communication, labor coordination, or community building.
Where those systems are available, users agree to:
- provide accurate information,
- maintain the security of their credentials,
- and refrain from using the Service for harassment, fraud, surveillance, intimidation, doxxing, or illegal exploitation.
We recognize that labor organizing, whistleblowing, political dissent, investigative journalism, and community coordination may attract attention from corporations, hostile institutions, private intelligence firms, data brokers, political operatives, or state actors who would very much enjoy unrestricted access to organizational data.
Accordingly:
- we treat user security seriously,
- we encrypt personal information at rest and minimize the sensitive information we retain,
- and we continuously improve operational security practices as resources permit.
However, no internet-connected system can ever be guaranteed perfectly secure.
The modern internet is held together by aging infrastructure, overworked engineers, corporate negligence, and approximately twelve people on Earth who still understand DNS.
Use appropriate caution accordingly.
07 User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit or post through the Service.
By posting content publicly through the Service, you grant us a limited license to display, reproduce, distribute, and publish that content solely for purposes of operating, promoting, archiving, or improving the Service.
We do not claim ownership over your work simply because you uploaded it to a website. That particular Silicon Valley pathology remains deeply embarrassing.
You are responsible for ensuring your submitted content:
- complies with applicable law,
- does not infringe intellectual property rights,
- and does not intentionally harm, exploit, or unlawfully expose others.
We reserve the right to remove content that:
- constitutes harassment,
- credible threats,
- unlawful conduct,
- fascist propaganda,
- spam,
- scams,
- coordinated disinformation,
- doxxing,
- or attempts to compromise the safety of users or the Service.
“Free speech” does not obligate us to host botnets, Nazi fan fiction, pyramid schemes, or malware distribution because somebody discovered the First Amendment halfway through a cryptocurrency podcast.
08 Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service:
- unlawfully,
- fraudulently,
- maliciously,
- or in ways that interfere with the operation or security of the platform.
This includes:
- unauthorized access attempts,
- denial-of-service attacks,
- malware distribution,
- credential theft,
- impersonation,
- doxxing,
- targeted harassment,
- exploitation of minors,
- or automated abuse of the Service.
You also agree not to use the platform to facilitate violent criminal conduct, trafficking, or coordinated harm against individuals or communities.
Criticizing institutions is permitted. Threatening people is not.
There is a difference. The internet increasingly pretends otherwise because outrage monetizes efficiently.
09 Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, original content produced by RORBT remains the property of RORBT and its licensors. RORBT and the orbit mark are trademarks of the RORBT collective.
You may not commercially reproduce or redistribute our content without permission except where explicitly allowed.
That said, this project exists to spread information, not construct artificial scarcity around ideas. Reasonable quotation, citation, commentary, and noncommercial sharing are generally consistent with the spirit of the platform.

10 Copyright Complaints
If you believe content hosted on the Service infringes your copyright, contact: support@rorbt.com
Please include sufficient detail to identify the allegedly infringing material and the basis for your claim.
Fraudulent copyright complaints submitted to suppress criticism, journalism, parody, labor organizing, or lawful speech are deeply contemptible and may be rejected accordingly.
11 Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, tools, or services.
We are not responsible for third-party platforms, their content, their security, or their privacy practices.
Many modern platforms operate as surveillance systems wearing the skin of convenience software. Proceed carefully.
Where possible, we will attempt to choose vendors and providers aligned with stronger privacy and ethical standards, but we cannot guarantee the conduct of external entities.
12 Service Availability
We intend for the Service to remain accessible and functional.
However, outages happen.
Servers fail. Databases implode. Hosting companies hallucinate policy violations. DNS collapses into ritual blood sacrifice. Somebody pushes directly to production at 2:11 a.m.
Accordingly, the Service is provided on an “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent availability, or flawless functionality.
We will, however, attempt to fix things instead of issuing a 14-page corporate apology written by public relations consultants using phrases like “stakeholder trust journey.”
13 Disclaimers
Content published through the Service is provided for informational, journalistic, educational, organizational, satirical, or commentary purposes.
We do not guarantee:
- absolute accuracy,
- uninterrupted availability,
- or universal applicability to every situation.
Nothing on the Service constitutes legal, financial, medical, or professional advice unless explicitly stated otherwise.
That said, unlike many corporate disclaimers, this section is not an attempt to evade responsibility for everything short of atmospheric collapse.
If we materially screw something up, we prefer fixing it over hiding behind six hundred lines of legal insulation drafted by people billing in six-minute increments.
Still, by using the Service, you acknowledge that internet platforms carry inherent risks and limitations.
14 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RORBT will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, speculative, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, liability will be limited to the amount you paid directly to us, if any, for the relevant Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or unlawful conduct where such exclusions are prohibited.
Unlike many technology companies, we are not attempting to legally declare ourselves incapable of wrongdoing across all dimensions of spacetime.
We are simply acknowledging the practical reality that independent organizing projects cannot survive existential litigation exposure every time a server hiccups or somebody misinterprets a joke.
15 Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for users who:
- violate these Terms,
- threaten platform security,
- engage in harassment or abuse,
- conduct illegal activity,
- or intentionally compromise the safety of users or organizers.
Where reasonably possible, we prefer transparency and communication over arbitrary enforcement.
This is not a venture-funded social platform run by engagement algorithms and outsourced moderation contractors evaluating human context at the intellectual level of malfunctioning parking meters.
16 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.
17 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically as the Service evolves.
If material changes occur, we will provide notice through the website or other appropriate channels.
Continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those changes.
