RORBT is software for sensitive organizing. That comes with promises we intend to keep and limits we won't pretend don't exist. Here's both.

RORBT (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “the collective”) builds and operates a governance protocol, coordination platform, and the software, apps, and documentation published at rorbt.com and its related services (the “Platform”). It exists for organizing, communication, education, commentary, and the coordination of workers, tenants, and communities.
We build in good faith. We engineer defensively. We document honestly. We fix what's broken when we learn it's broken. We do not intentionally ship software we believe to be unsafe.
But this is still a human operation running on finite time, finite money, finite sleep, and whatever remains of the modern nervous system after prolonged exposure to late-stage capitalism and a compiler. We do not guarantee that every feature, protocol, transparency log, build, document, dataset, or interface is perfectly complete, current, secure, or error-free at all times.
The Platform is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or non-infringement.
You are responsible for how you organize, what you coordinate, and what you do with the tools we provide. If you're making decisions capable of detonating your life—litigation, employment action, bargaining, medical treatment, financial risk, immigration status, operational security—consult a qualified professional instead of relying exclusively on software shipped by an angry labor collective operating somewhere between protocol engineering, political education, and a prolonged existential scream.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, RORBT is not liable for damages arising from your use of the Platform or reliance upon it. That includes:
This clause exists because the internet has become a litigation carnival—not because we believe accountability is fake.
This is the part that actually matters. RORBT provides account infrastructure, encrypted coordination, and organizing tools. We encrypt every PII field at rest, collect as little as operationally possible, and design so the server can't read your room. We mean all of it.
And still: no digital system is perfectly secure. Not encrypted messengers. Not corporate platforms. Not governments. Not us. Not anyone. Encryption protects content; it does not make you invisible, undeletable, or immune to a compromised device, a coerced participant, a screenshot, or a phone that ends up in the wrong hands.
We will aggressively protect your privacy and minimize what we hold—but operational security is a shared responsibility. If you're organizing under real risk—whistleblowing, sensitive labor action, political activity in a hostile environment—practice appropriate personal security, understand the threat model you're actually in, and don't treat any single tool, ours included, as a magic shield.
That is not paranoia. That is modern network reality.
RORBT is built so the protocol outlives the app and no single hand controls it. That's the point. It also means we do not, and frequently cannot, monitor, vet, or control what individual orbits, assemblies, members, or self-hosted deployments do with the protocol.
Content created, transmitted, or coordinated by users belongs to those users and reflects their views and actions—not ours. We are not responsible for, and do not endorse by default, the conduct of any orbit or member. We are not a party to your organizing; we are the floor you're standing on.
RORBT does not operate as an advertising surveillance platform. We do not run covert analytics pipelines to optimize emotional manipulation metrics for advertisers. There are already entire industries dedicated to converting human behavior into auctionable metadata. We are not joining them.
Any data collected through the Platform is limited to what users knowingly provide for explicitly stated purposes, as outlined in our Privacy Policy. You can leave at any time, and we delete it—no tombstones, no shadow copy for the lawyers.
This Platform may link to external websites, organizations, research archives, whistleblower documents, labor groups, nonprofits, public databases, government records, journalism outlets, or third-party platforms. We do not control those sites. We cannot guarantee their accuracy, security, availability, or privacy practices, and we are not responsible for content changes that occur after linking.
If another platform suddenly pivots into AI-generated crypto-fascist supplement marketing at 3:00 a.m., that is between them and whatever remains of their conscience. A link does not necessarily constitute endorsement. Likewise, if external sites link to us, that does not mean we endorse them either.
The Platform—its protocol, documentation, security model, and features—will change. Records change. Governments lie. Corporations redact. Threat models shift. Cryptographic assumptions age. We make reasonable efforts to keep our software and documentation accurate, but errors, omissions, outdated material, or evolving interpretations may occur.
If something is materially wrong—in our docs, our claims, or our code — contact us and we will review it.
This is not a corporate property staffed by twelve layers of legal review and a risk-management department trained to turn every sentence into damp cardboard. It is an independent collective attempting to build infrastructure for the people the algorithm files under “risk.”
Names, logos, trademarks, screenshots, public statements, quoted materials, and referenced brands remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on the Platform does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation, or approval. In many cases, referenced materials are used for criticism, commentary, journalism, parody, education, or public-interest reporting.
