01 Introduction
Welcome to RORBT.
This website exists because too many modern platforms have transformed "privacy" into a euphemism meaning "we found a more efficient way to package your behavioral residue for advertisers, data brokers, law enforcement contractors, and whichever startup recently discovered the phrase 'AI-driven consumer insights.'"
We are not doing that.
RORBT ("we," "us," or "our") operates rorbt.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and under what circumstances we may disclose it.
The short version is simple:
- We collect as little data as operationally possible.
- We only collect information you knowingly provide for explicitly stated purposes.
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not rent your data.
- We do not trade your data.
- We do not monetize your behavior.
- We do not build advertising profiles.
- We do not participate in surveillance capitalism because surveillance capitalism is morally diseased.
By using this Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions.
02 Definitions
SERVICE means the website operated at rorbt.com.
PERSONAL DATA means information that can identify an individual directly or indirectly.
USER means any individual accessing or using the Service.
DATA CONTROLLER means the entity determining how and why Personal Data is processed. For purposes of applicable privacy law, RORBT is the Data Controller.
03 Information We Collect
We intentionally collect as little information as possible.
The only Personal Data we collect is information you voluntarily and directly provide to us for clearly identified purposes, such as:
- creating an account,
- subscribing to updates,
- submitting contact forms,
- participating in community features,
- making donations,
- or communicating with us directly.
Depending on the feature being used, this may include:
- email address,
- phone number (used solely to send a one-time verification code at signup),
- a system-generated handle,
- billing information necessary to process payments,
- and any information you intentionally submit through forms or communications.
Every Personal Data field is encrypted at rest. We do not collect invasive behavioral profiles, demographic dossiers, shadow profiles, advertising identifiers, or speculative metadata because an alarming percentage of the modern internet apparently mistook cyberpunk dystopias for business plans.
04 What We Do Not Collect
Unless absolutely required for security or technical functionality, we do not intentionally collect:
- advertising identifiers,
- behavioral analytics,
- third-party tracking data,
- cross-site browsing activity,
- biometric information,
- location tracking,
- device fingerprinting,
- marketing profiles,
- or "anonymous" engagement data later reassembled into identifiable behavioral maps by corporations pretending pseudonymization is ethics.
We do not sell data to advertisers because you are a human being, not a mineral resource.
05 Cookies and Tracking
RORBT uses only the minimal cookies or local storage mechanisms reasonably necessary for the operation and security of the Service, such as:
- authentication,
- session persistence,
- security protections,
- or user-selected preferences.
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use behavioral tracking cookies. We do not use third-party marketing trackers. We do not allow advertising networks to quietly squat inside your browser siphoning behavioral exhaust into algorithmic personality dossiers.
If that inconveniences the ad-tech industry, they are encouraged to discover honest employment.
06 How We Use Information
We use collected information solely to:
- operate and maintain the Service,
- authenticate users,
- process donations or transactions,
- respond to inquiries,
- provide requested updates or communications,
- maintain security,
- investigate abuse of the platform,
- and fulfill legal obligations where unavoidable.
We do not use your information for:
- targeted advertising,
- behavioral profiling,
- algorithmic manipulation,
- attention optimization,
- engagement farming,
- or the increasingly deranged practice of converting private human activity into speculative advertising futures.
07 Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, license, monetize, broker, auction, or otherwise transfer your Personal Data to third parties for commercial purposes.
Ever.
Not now. Not later. Not after acquisition. Not after investor pressure. Not because a consultant with a $380 haircut says "data partnerships" are necessary for growth.
Your information belongs to you.
We may disclose limited information only under the following circumstances:
7.1 Service Functionality
We may use carefully selected service providers strictly necessary to operate the Service (for example: payment processors, hosting providers, or email delivery services). These providers may process only the minimum information necessary to perform their functions and are contractually prohibited from using it for unrelated purposes.
7.2 Legal Compulsion
If compelled by subpoena, court order, or other legally binding process, we may be forced to disclose limited user information.
However:
- We will interpret requests as narrowly as legally possible.
- We will challenge overbroad or abusive requests whenever reasonably possible.
- We will hire legal counsel, at our own expense where feasible, to resist unjustified disclosure demands.
- Unless legally prohibited from doing so, we will notify affected users when their information is requested or subpoenaed so they may pursue their own legal remedies.
We do not believe governments or corporations possess an inherent moral right to unrestricted access to private user information simply because they asked loudly while wearing expensive suits.
That said, no privacy policy can immunize users against lawful compulsory process entirely, and we cannot guarantee successful resistance in every jurisdiction or circumstance.
08 Data Retention
We retain Personal Data only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- provide the Service,
- fulfill the purpose for which the information was submitted,
- maintain security and operational integrity,
- comply with unavoidable legal obligations,
- or resolve disputes.
When information is no longer required, we will delete it or anonymize it where reasonably feasible. When you ask us to delete your data, we delete all of it—no tombstones, no "archived" purgatory, no shadow copy for the lawyers.
We are not interested in building permanent archives of your existence because this is a coordination platform, not a digital panopticon assembled by caffeinated management consultants.
09 Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed to protect Personal Data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Every Personal Data field is encrypted at rest with a rotatable key.
That said, no internet-connected system is perfectly secure. The modern web is effectively a giant haunted house wired together by APIs, legacy code, underpaid engineers, and existential optimism.
Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
But unlike many companies, we will not quietly compromise your information while issuing a press release describing catastrophic negligence as "unexpected activity."
10 Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
- access the Personal Data we hold about you,
- correct inaccurate information,
- request deletion,
- restrict or object to certain processing,
- or request a portable copy of your data.
To exercise these rights, contact:
We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
11 Children's Privacy
This Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.
We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children.
If we become aware that such information has been collected unintentionally, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.
12 Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to external websites or resources not operated by us.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or content of third-party sites. The internet is full of surveillance architecture disguised as convenience. Proceed accordingly.
13 Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.
If material changes occur, we will provide notice through the website or other appropriate communication channels and update the effective date above.
Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
